Standing at 6-foot-6, 16 year old Elijah Bragg is the anchor of the Mater Dei Catholic (San Diego) basketball team. Having a chip on his shoulder Bragg has something to prove! After having a successful AAU spring and summer playing with WCE 16U UA Elijah now prepares for a big junior season which will be a statement season. Bragg showed his versatility this summer averaging 14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.5 blocks per contest scoring most of his baskets from the mid range to the rim, showing off his soft touch and feel around the rim. Receiving interest from some high level Division 2/Divison 3 and NAIA programs has sparked the fuel in Elijah and he is now hungrier than ever. PrepHoopsSocal recently ranked Elijah as the # 122 player and the # 6 center in the class of 2025. Attending Elite camps such as Caltech, Whittier College and WCE All Academic Event where he was named the MVP has given him some confidence and has gotten his name out. Elijah will also be attending Puget Sound University camp. Elijah and his WCE squad took a business trip to Memphis this summer and took care of business winning the U.S. Open Championship Games playing against some of the best talent in the country and was matched up against some of the best bigs in the country, with multiple Division 1 coaches in attendance. One aspect that Elijah has and is visible as soon as you watch him play is that he is fearless and loves competing against top tier competition. Keep an eye out for this high academic student athlete Elijah Bragg (4.21 GPA) this coming season, work is all he knows and it will be translated on the court.
